Celebrate what makes you different!

Monday 17th – Friday 21st November is Anti-Bullying Week 2008 and this year we are asking:

“Wouldn’t life be boring if we were all the same?”

We know that being ‘different’ or people thinking that others are ‘different’ can be one of the reasons young people experience bullying. But - nobody has the right to bully you because you are different.

At Connexions we know that everyone is different and that these differences mean we live in diverse communities - so we want to celebrate this!

Whatever it is that makes you different – we want to know!

During Anti-Bullying Week we are asking young people at our Centres and through this website, to tell us what makes them different and diverse!

It may be that you have a unique laugh, like to dress in a certain way, have strong beliefs about something or just like to eat tomato ketchup sandwiches!

Use the list below to help you think about what makes you different:

  • Accent
  • Age
  • Appearance
  • Beliefs
  • Disability
  • Gender
  • Knowledge
  • Likes/dislikes
  • Personality/character traits
  • Race
  • Religion
  • Sexuality
  • Skills
  • Values

Show your support for Anti Bullying Week 2008 - tell us why you are different - and proud of it!
