Are you really ready for sex?
Date: 12 February 2007
It's okay to wait a while...
This week is Contraceptive Awareness week, and Connexions is taking part with a special sexual health campaign aimed at Norfolk's young people.

"The themes around sexual health and pregnancy are really complex, so we've chosen to work with the NHS on this one particular campaign, which emphasizes both physical and emotional health.
"Connexions Personal Advisers are on hand to answer any question you may have about relationships."
– Matthew Cunningham, Communications Manager for Connexions Norfolk
Our theme for this week is Are You Really Ready? – we want to encourage young people to delay having sex until they're sure they're really ready (even if they've had sex before). Remember: Whether you're ready to have a sexual relationship or not, Connexions is here to support you.
This week, have a look...
- ...in our Connexions Centres, where you'll find information and advice about sex, as well as quizzes and checklists for you
- ...on the talk about you website – we've been working with the local NHS to make 2 brand new areas of the site dealing with Sex and Pregnancy. Find out everything you need to know about contraception, saying no to sex, sexuality and more – and take the "Are You Really Ready for Sex?" Quick quiz!
- ...at the Norwich SNAP dance on Valentine's night – Connexions staff will be there to promote the Are You Really Ready? theme and give information and advice.
Tell us what you think!
We want to know what you think about sex, waiting 'til you're really ready, peer pressure, how to say no, and more...
