Contraceptive Awareness week
Date: 12 February 2007
It’s Valentine’s Day on the 14th February, so just the right time of year to be thinking about sex, love and relationships stuff...
A national sexual health organisation for young people called fpa, are doing a whole week of awareness raising to mark Contraceptive Awareness Week 2007, and you might even catch sight of some of their great new posters which take you on a fantastic journey through the reproductive system of a woman. It’s called 7 days, 300 million tourists and one destination - we reckon they’re talking sperm and eggs here!
Visit the fpa website and take their sex quiz to get in touch with the ins and outs of the reproductive system Find out how long an egg lives, how fast sperm travels and the calorific value of semen!
Are you really ready for sex?
Closer to home we’re looking at another aspect of your sexual health, that is, how you know when you’re really ready for sex. Who we have sex with, and when, is an important decision for most of us – whether it’s the first time or any time after that. So it’s a good idea to think through all your choices, including waiting a bit longer if that’s right for you.
